PLG Series Continuous Disc Plate Dryer is a high efficiency conducting and continuous Drying Equipment. There are three major types: normal pressure type, closed type, and vacuum type; and four major models: 1200, 1500, 2200 and 3000; and three kind of material grades, A (carbon steel), B (use stainless steel for material contacted area), and C (use stainless steel for material contacted area, steam pipes, main shaft and supports, and linings for cylinder body and top cover).The drying area of the dryer is 4 to 180.We have produced hundreds of models with auxiliary devices which are available to meet requirements of all customers.

2. Working principle of disc dryer:

Wet materials are fed continuously to the first layer small drying plate in the top of the dryer. They will be turned and stirred by rakes when the rake arm rotates. Materials drop down to the next layer large drying plate from the edge of the small drying plate. On the large drying plate, material move inward and drop down to the next layer small drying plate from the central hole of large drying plate. The small and large drying plates are arranged alternately so as materials can go through the whole dryer continuously. The heating media, which could be saturated steam, hot water or heat conducting oil will is led into hollow drying plates from one end to the other end of the dryer. The dried materials will drop from the last layer of the drying plate to the bottom layer of the shell body, and will be moved by rakes to the discharge port. The moisture evaporated from materials and will be sucked out from the moist discharge port on the top cover by exhaust fan, or sucked out by the vacuum pump. The dried materials discharged from the bottom layer can be packaged directly or transferred to the next process. The drying capability can be raised up if equipped with supplementary devices such as finned heater, condenser for solvent retrieval, bag dust remover, and exhaust fan, etc. Solvent in paste and heat sensitive materials can be easily retrieved and thermal decomposition and reaction can be also carried out.
