Roller Compactor for dry granulation is the process of forming particles—i.e., granulates or granules—from dry powder or powder blend without adding liquid to aid in the process. It serves as an established manufacturing process in the chemical, life science, and pharmaceutical industries, playing a key role in preparing powdered material for further processing.

The roller press granulator generally consists of three major units:
1. A feeding system, which conveys the powder to the compaction area between the rolls
2. A compaction unit, where powder is compacted between two counter rotating rolls to a ribbon by applying a force
3. A size reduction unit, for milling the ribbons to the desired particle size.
4. A hydraulic station, for providing the pressure to the two rollers.
5. A water colling system, for cooling the two rollers during the granulation process.
