Product Description

1. General description of Centrifugal Spray Dryer

Centrifugal Spray Dryer is widely used for making liquid to powder. It is suitable for producing powder products from solution, emulsion, soliquid, and pumpable paste materials. So when the size, final moisture, bulk density and shape of particles must meet the accurate standard, centrifugal spray drying is an ideal drying process.

Liquid material is pumped into the top installed centrifugal disc atomizer by mono pump and atomized into fine droplets inside the drying chamber. Meanwhile, clean hot air is blown into the air distributor at the same time. The evenly and swirly distributed hot air completely contacts with droplets for heat transfer. The droplets are dried into powder in several seconds and sucked out into the cyclone for discharging via exhaust fan.
LPG series centrifugal spray dryer has been widely used in health products, chemical, feedstuff, ceramics, battery materials, plastic and foodstuff industry for drying liquid material into fine powder.

2. Features of Centrifugal spray dryer

1. Drying speed is fast. Material is atomized and superficial area is increased greatly. When contacting with the hot air, 95%~98% moisture is evaporated instantly. Drying time is only several seconds. So it is very suitable for drying thermal sensitive materials.

2. The output product has good homogeneity, fluidity and solubility. Liquid materials can be dried to powder directly, and after drying there is no need to crush or sieve the product. The moisture content and particle size is uniform.

3. Control system is human-machine interface type. Production process is simple and easy to operate. The rotary speed of atomizer is regulated by inverter.

4. The equipment is made of SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel, it confirms to the requirements of GMP.

5. The heating source can be steam, thermal oil, gas, oil, electricity, coal, etc.



3. Application of Centrifugal spray dryer

4. Technical advantages of Centrifugal spray dryer

The centrifugal spray dryer consists of air filter system, heating system, hot air distributor, main drying tower, feeding system, atomizing system, cyclone separator, dust remover, outlet air system and so on.

This equipment is designed by our company in combination with similar foreign spray drying technology and the practical experience accumulated by our technicians for a long time. This equipment has the following technical advantages:

1. Specially designed volute: Specially designed hot air volute of main tower. The hot air volute of main tower adopts accelerated structure to prevent material atomization droplets from returning to the top, hot melting, coking and deterioration.

2. Special designed hot air distributor: The hot air distributor adopts the structure of numerical helix acceleration, which greatly enhances the heat exchange between hot air and material droplets, and orderly swirling flow drops. The hot air distributor also combines the characteristics and requirements of this technology, so that there are air guide mechanisms on both sides of the distributor, and the angle can be adjusted arbitrarily to control the tangential angle when the hot air enters the tower. The inner air guide mechanism increases the rotation of the hot air, strengthens the shear force of the hot air on the atomized material film, makes the hot air fully contact with the material liquid, and strengthens the heat and mass exchange process between them.

3. Atomizer: The atomizer adopts a frequency converter to adjust the speed of the atomizer to achieve the best atomization effect.

4.The height diameter ratio of the straight cylinder of the main tower is adjusted from the conventional 0.9:1 to about 1.1:1; Extend the residence time of materials to ensure the drying effect. The taper of the tower cone is adjusted from the conventional included angle of 60 ° to 52 °, giving full consideration to the smoothness of the material during the cone blanking.

5. The lighting device in the tower, observation and cleaning door and manhole are designed to facilitate staff observation and customer visit. The pipeline adopts the quick installation design, which is convenient for the assembly, disassembly and cleaning of the equipment.

5. Medium circulation system: The system is composed of exhaust fan, blower, air regulating butterfly valve, air duct, etc. Both exhaust fan and blower are supplied by high-quality manufacturers, with years of cooperation and stable quality.

6. Freeze dehumidification system: In order to solve the softening and moisture absorption and caking of products in the product barrel of cyclone separator after long-term heating, a dehumidification air cooling system is specially designed. So the powder products can leave the high-temperature area in time and be cooled quickly, which is conducive to product packaging and maintaining a stable residual moisture content.

7. Air heating and purification system: It is composed of pre, middle efficiency and high efficiency air filter and heating device. The heating source can be electricity, steam, thermal oil, gas, oil, coal, biomass and so on. The heating device has high thermal efficiency, stable heat output and high control accuracy.

8. Feeding system: The feeding system adopts fuzzy control to realize the automatic matching of feeding speed and outlet air temperature, avoid the influence of temperature fluctuation on the dry humidity of materials, and keep the moisture content of finished products at the required level, so as to ensure the quality of finished products.

The screw pump adopts variable frequency speed regulation, 4-20mA signal input, and automatically matches the air outlet temperature. The main part of the pipeline valve is SUS304 stainless steel, which is clean and sanitary.

9. Control system: The control system is controlled by PLC & touch screen. It has alarm function. And there are three levels of user management (operators, managers, equipment managers). Temperature control: the electric heating of air inlet temperature adopts grouping control, and PID control is used to control the electric heating, which ensures the accuracy of temperature control The outlet air temperature adopts the method of interlocking the speed of the feed pump and the outlet air temperature to accurately control the outlet air temperature.

The control system has high integration and automation level, which greatly reduces the number of on-site operators and has the function of fault self diagnosis. It can automatically deal with different faults in the system and give an alarm.

11. Other auxiliary system: They are all supplied by well-known manufacturers with reliable performance; Some pipelines are designed at a certain angle, and pressed smooth stainless steel pipes are used to avoid the phenomenon of material binding, blocking and excessive local resistance affecting material transportation.
